In response to the Caleb University issue, he stated that the board was made aware of the unauthorized limitations imposed on applicants who wore hijabs.

He promised that prompt action had been taken and that the university’s vice-chancellor had denounced the overzealous security officer’s actions.
“We sincerely apologize to the impacted candidates and commend the university and center leadership for their swift action, which made sure that no candidate was unfairly disadvantaged,” he continued.

“On a lighter note, another dimension of gullibility was exhibited by a female UTME candidate who refused to attempt any question when she sat for the examination this morning because she was following her grandfather’s instructions to only wait for miraculous intervention during the examination,” Benjamin said. Naturally, with JAMB, such miracles do not occur.

Candidates should avoid superstitious and irrational hopes of reaping where they did not plant, he counseled.
