TAMN Calls for Dialogue, Fairness in ASUU Strike Resolution
The Academy of Management Nigeria (TAMN) has expressed its concerns about the current strike initiated by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the directive from the Federal Government enforcing the “No Work, No Pay” policy.
In a statement released on Monday and signed by its President, Professor Samaila Mande, FAMN highlighted the necessity for diplomacy, compassion, and equity in overseeing human resources within the education sector.
Mande remarked, “The well-being of academic staff, the honouring of collective agreements, and the stability of our education system are vital for national advancement and should not be compromised.”
He called on both the federal government and ASUU to partake in fruitful discussions, emphasising that “the time has arrived for all parties involved to mend trust and restore higher education as the foundation for sustainable national development.”
