TAMN Calls for Dialogue, Fair Play in ASUU Strike
The Academy of Management Nigeria (TAMN) has voiced worries regarding the continuing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) as well as the Federal Government’s implementation of the “No Work, No Pay” policy.
In a statement released on Monday and endorsed by its President, Professor Samaila Mande, FAMN, the Academy highlighted the necessity for tact, compassion, and equity in managing human resources within the education sector.
“The well-being of academic staff, the integrity of collective agreements, and the stability of our education system are essential to national progress and should not be jeopardized,” Mande said.
He called on both the Federal Government and ASUU to participate in productive dialogue, emphasizing that “the moment has arrived for all parties involved to restore trust and redefine higher education as the foundation of sustainable national advancement.”
