Five ‘O’ level credits at one sitting or six ‘O’ level credits at two sittings to include English Language, and other Subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Sciences. i) At least two ‘A’ level passes/NCE Merit or a Diploma in Adult Education and relevant teaching subjects from recognized institutions with Upper Credit.

4. University of Ibadan (UI) – Oyo State
requires 5 credits at one sitting to include English Language.
5. Niger Delta University (NDU) – Bayelsa State
Same as Vocational and Technical Education.
6. University of Jos (UNIJOS) – Plateau State
Candidates for Postgraduate Diploma in Adult and Community Development must have one of the followings. Minimum of Third class honours degree in Education and any other discipline from a recognized University. HND from a recognized Polytechnic. In all cases, candidates may be expected to undergo a selection process involving tests and / or interviews.
9. Lagos State University (LASU) – Lagos State
a. For Adult Education (Professional), candidates must select any three (3) subjects from Arts or Social Sciences.
b. For Adult Education (Economics and Statistics), the required subjects are Economics, Mathematics, and one (1) other subject from Arts or Social Sciences.
c. For Adult Education (English and Literature), candidates must have Literature in English, one (1) Arts subject, and any other subject.
d. For Adult Education (Geography and Regional Planning), the required subjects are Geography, one (1) Social Science subject, and any other subject.
e. For Adult Education (Political Science and Public Administration), candidates must have Government or History, one (1) Social Science subject, and any other subject.
10. Rivers State University (RSU) – Rivers State
