Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the Rivers State University Business School postgraduate programmes at Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, for the 2021/ 2022 academic session.

M.Sc. (Master of Science) – Short Course
PhD in Business Administration (DBA)

Accountancy, Finance, Management, Project Management, Marketing, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, International Affairs, and Office and Information Management are all specializations. The programs, which are offered on a Modular Part-time basis, are taught in hybrid (physical and virtual) modes in the evenings from Monday to Friday.

Thursday, with the exception of the Executive Master of Business Administration, which is held on weekends to accommodate executives’ busy schedules.

Admission Requirements for Rivers State University’s Business School
PGD: A first degree or its equivalent, with a pass grade in cognate disciplines or a second class lower division in any other discipline. Practical work experience is advantageous.
MBA: A good first degree or its equivalent, with at least a Second-Class grade and a CGPA of 3.00 on a 5-point scale or 2.50 on a 4-point scale in cognate disciplines.
Applicants with a lower degree but a PGD are welcome to apply. Practical work experience is advantageous.
EMBA: The same as an MBA, but applicants must have relevant leadership experience in the private or public sector at the time of application.

M.Sc. (Short Course): A good first degree or its equivalent, with at least a Second-Class grade and a CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale or 3.00 on a 4-point scale in cognate disciplines, as well as an MBA. Practical work experience is advantageous.
Doctor of Business Administration (DBA): To be eligible for admission to the DBA program, applicants must have a first degree or its equivalent with a minimum of a Second Class lower division and a CGPA of 3.00 on a 5-point scale or 2.50 on a 4-point scale, or a PGD in cognate disciplines, as well as an MBA or M.Sc. with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale or 3.00 on a 4-point scale, Work experience in the field

All applicants for all programs must also meet the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt matriculation requirements, which include five O’level credits in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics (and Economics for courses in the Management Sciences).
Note:

In addition to the conditions listed above, applicants for the DBA degree may be required to take a selection test and/or an oral interview. Candidates for DBA must submit and defend a proposal in their field of interest.

Applicants must submit online scanned copies of their academic credentials, as well as three reference letters addressed to the Director, RSUBS, one of which must be from a lecturer at the candidate’s previous institution, attesting to the candidate’s good conduct.

Applicants must also request that their previous institutions send a transcript of their highest qualification to the Secretary of RSUBS.
Programmes at Rivers State University’s Business School Duration
The Postgraduate Diploma program with project or seminar lasts at least two semesters and up to four semesters.
The MBA program with dissertation lasts at least three semesters and up to five semesters.
The EMBA program with dissertation lasts at least four semesters and up to six semesters.

M.Sc. (Master of Science) – Short Course: The M.Sc. Short Course program with dissertation lasts at least two semesters and up to four semesters.
The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program with a thesis lasts at least four semesters and up to six semesters.

The forms can be obtained online at www.rsubs.org.ng for a non-refundable fee of N30,000.00.
