JAMB Conducts CBT Test for Head of Service Staff

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) held a promotional exam for junior staff on Friday under the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

About 450 junior employees participated in the computer-based test at Ade-Ola International School in Kubwa, a suburb of the capital.

After the exam, the Director of the Abuja zone for JAMB, Hajia Zainab Hamzat, told reporters that the event went smoothly.

She noted that while 476 staff members were expected to take part in the promotion assessment, only 450 showed up for the exam.

The Director said, “Everything went well, as is usually the case. We call it a third-party exam. This is a promotion exam for the Head of Service. All their personnel took the exam to help with promotions.

“We organised two sessions: one in the morning and another in the afternoon. We expected 250 participants in the morning, but 232 were present. In the afternoon, we anticipated 226, and eight were absent.

“The examination went smoothly, and everything happened as planned.

The test was designed for all junior staff connected to the Head of Service. Participants included immigration officers, firefighters, civil defence personnel, and other paramilitary groups under the Head of Service.

Additionally, Mercy Olaosegbe, the Director of Ade-Ola International School in Kubwa, commended JAMB for upholding high standards in professional exams.
