Admission Requirements into UNN Architecture

UNN offers two primary entry modes:

·         JAMB UTME Entry:

This is for students who wrote JAMB, the standard entry mode for students with the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), National Examination Council (NECO), or their equivalents.

O’Level Admission Requirements

Candidates for admission into the Department of Architecture must have obtained a credit pass in

  • English Language,
  • Mathematics,
  • Physics
  • Chemistry and
  • Any of Fine Art, Geography or Wood Work, Biology, Economics, Technical Drawing, Further. Mathematics, etc in not more than two sittings.
·         Direct Entry:
  •     A-Level Admission:

A candidate who fulfils SSSC or O-level admission requirements and who has obtained GCE A-level, HSC or equivalent passes in Mathematics and Physics, or Mathematics or Physics and any other subjects will be admitted at the 200-level of the programme. Such a candidate may take relevant courses to make up for any deficiencies in his/her academic background.

  • ND Admission:

A candidate who fulfils the conditions for admission (above) and who holds National Diploma (N.D) certificate in Architectural Technology or Building Technology at credit level may be considered for special admission into the programme at 200-level that is Direct Entry). Such candidate may take relevant courses to make up for deficiencies found in his/her academic background.

JAMB Subject Combination For UNN Architecture

For the UTME exams, you’ll need to select the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Physics,
  • Mathematics, and
  • Any of Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology and Economics.

JAMB Cut-Off Mark for UNN Architecture:

UNN has a general UTME cut-off mark for all courses, typically ranging between 160 – 200.
