UNILAG: No Admission for Malpractice in 2025/2026 Post-UTME
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) announced that at least 20,464 candidates took part in its 2025/2026 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) online screening assessment, but cautioned that those who engaged in malpractice would not be granted admission.
UNILAG’s Communication Unit made this announcement on Friday via a notice on the university’s official website and X account, following the successful completion of the online screening assessment for Post-UTME between September 1 and 4, 2025.
Nevertheless, the institution noted that some candidates were involved in various forms of malpractice, which violated the examination guidelines.
“In accordance with the university’s strict policy against examination malpractice, those candidates will, based on the results of our current investigations and reviews, be declared ineligible for admission,” the statement indicated.
“Our official communication channels, as previously mentioned in the instructions given to candidates, remain accessible.
“For clarity, however, the University has irrefutable evidence of the infractions.”
UNILAG also reaffirmed its steadfast dedication to maintaining the integrity of its admissions process.
