Tinubu’s Aide Awards Full Scholarship to UTME Genius Who Scored 360!
Mr. Kamorudeen Yusuf, President Bola Tinubu’s Personal Assistant on Special Duties, has extended a scholarship offer to 16-year-old Sodiq Shoyode, who received a score of 360 in the recently finished Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Sodiq, who hails from Ogun State’s Ado-Odo Local Government Area, gained national recognition for his academic excellence despite his lowly origins after his UTME results appeared online.
In a statement released on Monday, Yusuf expressed his admiration for the teen’s exceptional performance and perseverance, promising to assist Sodiq’s academic endeavors.
He credited his accomplishment to regular study routines and thorough self-evaluation using mock exams.
“To identify the areas I needed to improve on, I completed a lot of practice exams and kept a weekly progress log,” Sodiq said.
Even though Sodiq wants to pursue mechanical engineering, he also wants to master back-end software development.
He said he was thrilled about the chance to learn digital skills before starting college.
The young scholar was ecstatic and conveyed his sincere appreciation to his parents and benefactor for their persistent support.
“I am grateful to my parents for their encouragement and support, especially Mr. Kamorudeen Yusuf, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s assistant, who has pledged to ease my parents’ financial burden. “Sir, you have my eternal gratitude,” he said.
