A research team from the Lagos State University School of Transport and Logistics led by Professor S.G Odewunmi has won a SEK100,000 (Swedish Krona) research grant for a proposal submitted to the Volvo Educational and Research Foundation (VREF).
The study’s title is “A Study of the Causal Relationship between Quadruple Governance Authorities and the Perennial Traffic in Apapa Port Area of Lagos State, Nigeria.”
Following the award, the VREF designated the LASU School of Transportation and Logistics as a Center of Excellence for Transportation Research and Education.
Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, Vice Chancellor, congratulates the team on their success, which has further strengthened LASU’s position as a research and innovation hub. She also describes it as a significant step toward becoming the best university in West Africa, and she promises to provide the team with all necessary assistance in carrying out the project.
