Ekiti State University (EKSU) has set a resume date for academic activities that were delayed by ASUU’s industrial action.
The management of Ekiti State University (EKSU) in Ado Ekiti has announced the resumption of academic activity following the school’s shutdown due to the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ continuing strike (ASUU).
The notice of resumption was given by Bode Olofinmuagun, the institution’s Director of Information and Corporate Affairs, on Monday, May 23, following a meeting of the university’s management.
The university’s management was concerned about the situation of students and parents as classrooms remained closed, according to the statement. It further stated that students admitted for the 2021/2022 academic session had yet to resume, and that the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year had yet to end.
As a result, on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in-person academic activities at the institution will resume.
