TASU 2025/2026 Admission List Now on JAMB CAPS
The Taraba State University (TASU) management, located in Jalingo, has officially announced the Provisional Admission List for the 2025/2026 academic year. This announcement represents a crucial stage in the university’s admission procedure, as countless candidates who took part in the university’s post-UTME screening exercise can now check their admission status via the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). The release indicates the beginning of a new academic year for incoming students across the institution’s various faculties and departments.
As per the university’s admission office’s official update, the list of admitted candidates has been posted and is now available on the JAMB CAPS portal. Therefore, all applicants are encouraged to verify their admission status promptly to confirm their enrolment in the university. The entire process is online, enabling candidates to access their information from any location without needing to physically visit the university’s campus.
To verify their admission status, candidates should log into the official JAMB e-facility platform with their registered email address and password. After logging in, they need to find the “Check Admission Status” option on their dashboard. Following this, they must click on “Access my CAPS”, then “Admission Status”, to determine whether they have been granted admission to Taraba State University for the 2025/2026 academic session. This method ensures an efficient verification experience for all candidates.
Successful applicants will receive an official congratulatory notification that includes their passport photograph and personal information on the CAPS portal. The notification typically states, “Congratulations, you have been offered admission,” indicating that the applicant has successfully secured a place at TASU. On the other hand, candidates who have not been admitted will see a message saying, “Sorry, no admission has been given yet.” However, the university has encouraged these candidates to remain hopeful, as the admission process is still in progress, and further names may be announced in upcoming batches.
Once admission is confirmed, candidates must take a crucial next step by either accepting or rejecting their offer on the JAMB platform. This can be accomplished by sending an SMS containing either ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to their JAMB profile. Those who accept the admission will be allowed to print their JAMB Admission Letter, which is an official document required for clearance and registration at the university.
The JAMB management has highlighted that candidates have a window of four (4) weeks to accept their admission offer. Not responding within the given timeframe may lead to the automatic loss of the admission slot. For candidates who may have lost access to the phone number associated with their JAMB profile, the university has advised them to visit any JAMB-accredited CBT centre to process their acceptance or rejection manually.
Additionally, TASU authorities have warned candidates to be cautious of fraudulent persons or unauthorised websites that claim to provide admission or help with admission upgrades. The university reiterated that all official admission procedures are conducted solely through the JAMB CAPS portal and the university’s admission office. Any candidate found engaging in unofficial activities risks disqualification or the revocation of their admission.
Admitted candidates are advised to log into the Taraba State University Admission Portal to initiate their clearance, document verification, and acceptance fee payment. The clearance procedure requires the submission of essential documents, including O-level results, JAMB result slip, birth certificate, local government identification letter, and other required credentials as stipulated by the university’s admissions office.
Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, the Vice-Chancellor of Taraba State University, extended his congratulations to the new students and expressed hope for a more fruitful academic session ahead. He reassured students of the institution’s dedication to upholding high academic standards while fostering an environment that supports learning and innovation. Prof. Bako also encouraged prospective candidates who have not yet gained admission to remain optimistic, mentioning that second and third admission batches will be issued soon.
The announcement of the TASU 2025/2026 admission list on JAMB CAPS signifies a fresh start for numerous young Nigerians seeking higher education opportunities in Taraba State. Therefore, candidates should ensure they complete all required processes within the stipulated timeframe and prepare for the commencement of academic activities as scheduled by the university. This development underscores TASU’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accessibility, and excellence in the Nigerian higher education landscape.
