The federal government of Nigeria has been working tirelessly to battle covid-19 and one of the objectives is to get school students back to school. It is no news that the covid-19 pandemic has shuts schools and several institutions for approximately two months.

Although several dates has been rumoured for the reopening of schools, the government has not made any clear cut announcement.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Folashade Adefisayo, stated that the government and the federal ministry of education are coming out with guidelines schools must adopt before they can be reopened.

Mrs Folashade continued, “When all protocols are met and health officials gives us a go ahead order, we will give the schools some days for adjustment of their environments to ensure they conform with our guidelines before the commencement of school activities”.
