The Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) is now accepting applications for admission to its Higher National Diploma (HND) full-time programs for the academic year 2022/2023. See below for details on the courses available, the requirements, and how to obtain a PTI HND form.
Appropriately qualified candidates are invited to apply for admission to the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun Higher National Diploma (HND) Programmes for the 2022/2023 academic session.
HND PTI Courses
At the Higher National Diploma (HND) level, the following programs are available.
Technology of Petroleum Engineering
Fabrication and Welding Engineering Science and Technology
Options for Industrial Safety and Environmental Technology: (1) Industrial Safety Technology. (2) Environmental Engineering
Engineering Technology for Petroleum and Gas Processing
Mechanical Engineering Technology options include (1) manufacturing and (2) power plants.
Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology options include: (1) instrumentation and control, (2) electronics and telecommunications, and (3) electronics and telecommunications. (3) Machines and Power
Technology Science Laboratories
Marketing of Petroleum and Business Studies
Admission Requirements for PTI HND
Candidates must have five (5) Ordinary Level Credit passes in subjects relevant to their program of choice, including English Language and Mathematics.
In addition to the prerequisites listed above, candidates must have a National Diploma (ND) in the field of study for which they are applying. For more information, please see the online admission prospectus for the 2022/2023 Academic Session.
How to Fill Out the PTI HND Admission Form
For each PTI admission form for the 2022/2023 Academic Session, candidates applying for HND Programmes must pay a non-refundable fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00).
Prospective candidates should apply directly to Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) by following the steps below:
VISIT pti.edu.ng
Click on“Apply for 2022/2023 HNDunder the Admission Menu
Fill out the “Sign on page” online and then click “Click Here to Sign Up” at the bottom of the page. (Note: Save the Username and Password for future use.)
This will take you to the Remittal Retrieval Reference (RRR) page, from which you can generate the RRR code.
Print the RRR code page and bring it to any bank to be paid. Make a copy of the RRR printout.
Return to the PTI website (pti.edu.ng) and click on “Return to my Application” after paying the N15, 000.00 admission form fee.
Click LOGIN after entering your User Name and Password.
Fill out the online application form and print out the completed online application form to bring to the examination/interview.
If the portal rejects your USERNAME and PASSWORD in your attempt to login again after payment, then mail itsupport@pti.edu.ng stating your RRR code.
DATE FOR HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) INTERVIEW: The interview for HND candidates will hold from 12th – 16th September 2022 at the Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State. The Transcripts of candidates offering HND programmes should reach the Admission Office from the Institute they graduated from, on or before 21st October 2022. The Transcript should be sent through a courier service. While coming for the interview, candidates should come along with evidence or the receipt of transcript fee payment.
CLOSING DATE: July 29th, 2022.
LATE APPLICATION: Late online sales of General Welding and Commercial Diving admission forms will cost N20,000.00 each.
