The release notes that the approval, communicated in a letter dated 3rd November 2025 and signed by Mr. Abubakar M. Girei, the Acting Director of Academic Planning, on behalf of the NUC’s Executive Secretary, followed a recent thorough resource verification visit to LASU conducted by panels of experts assigned to evaluate the availability of human and material resources for the proposed programs.
Consequently, the following four programs have been approved, effective from the 2025/2026 academic session:
- B.Sc. Cyber Security
- B.Sc. Software Engineering
- B.Sc. Information and Communication Technology
- B.Sc. Data Science
“This initiative highlights Lagos State University’s dedication to delivering advanced education that is in line with global technological progress. However, it is important to mention that the approval is only applicable to full-time study formats.
