.Summit University, Offa (SUNOBoard )’s of Trustees has accepted the nomination of Abiodun Musa Aibinu, a Professor of Mechatronics, as the university’s next substantive Vice-Chancellor.
On the advice of the Governing Council, the Board of Trustees accepted Prof. Abiodun Musa Aibinu’s nomination as the second Vice-Chancellor of Summit University, Offa. The appointment follows an earlier interview with the Joint Council Senate Selection Committee, which is made up of highly experienced University stakeholders. The appointment is made in accordance with the Summit University Law of 2015.
Professor Abiodun Musa Aibinu is a Professor of Mechatronics at the Federal University of Technology in Minna, Niger State, Nigeria, until his appointment as the next Vice-Chancellor of Summit University. With over twenty-three (23) years of professional experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence, he is known as a “Acadopreneur” and a highly motivated career driven achiever,Robotics, Mechatronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, and Industrial Automation are all examples of information and communication technology (ICT). In the fields of artificial intelligence and robotics, he has also taught and conducted research.
Professor Aibinu, Abiodun Musa was born in Lagos, Nigeria, on January 9, 1973, and is from Ibadan, Oyo State. He went to Euba Boys’ Secondary School in Mushin, Lagos, The Polytechnic Ibadan in Oyo State, Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife in Osun State, Blekinge Institute of Technology in Blekinge, Sweden, and International Islamic University Malaysia in Malaysia.
