NECO Rewards Staff and Students for Excellence

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has recognized the efforts and achievements of both workers and students. They were acknowledged during the council’s 2024 Staff Productivity Awards held in Minna, the capital of Niger State.

The Registrar and Chief Executive, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, expressed that the annual awards honor workers from various zones, states, and headquarters, along with students who performed exceptionally in the council’s exams over the year.

He emphasized that this initiative not only celebrates productivity but also serves to motivate both employees and learners.

Wushishi mentioned that the awards consist of several categories, including certificates for retirees, acknowledgments for diligent and committed staff, and awards for the best state coordinator, best driver, and outstanding students.

He commended stakeholders who have supported their initiatives during the past three years of his leadership.

In highlighting significant accomplishments, he mentioned the successful and transparent administration of internal examinations, the timely release of results, the smooth promotion process, and the advancement of ICT software.
