NECO Issues Warning Over Fake Facebook Account Impersonating Registrar — Stay Alert!

In order to mislead gullible members of the public, the National Examinations Council (NECO) has disowned a phony Facebook account that was made in the name of Professor Dantani Wushishi, its registrar and chief executive.

This was revealed in a statement released to reporters in Abuja on Sunday by Mr. Azeez Sani, the council’s acting director of information and public relations.

In order to keep people from becoming victims of these scammers, the council wants to inform the public about the presence of this phony Facebook account, he stated.

Mr. Sani, in the meantime, affirmed that security authorities have been informed and that individuals accountable for this fraudulent behavior will face the proper consequences.
