N50M Scholarship Unveiled for Top 2025 JAMB Candidates — Foundation Rewards Excellence!

High Chief Dr. Darlington Nwabunike, the national head of “De Imperial Philanthropic Family” (DIPF), has lamented the inadequate quality of education in the nation and stated that immediate action is required to improve the situation.

This was said by the philanthropist Ichie Ezenwakaibeya Ogbabalu Aku N’Anwu Ojoto, of Anambra State, over the weekend in Lagos during the opening of one of DIPF’s major initiatives, a “N50 Million Scholarship Fund” intended to honor Nigeria’s best JAMB scorers in 2025.

In response to the widespread failures of candidates in the most recent Joint Admission and Matriculation Examination Board (JAMB) exams, High Chief Nwabunike blamed the failure on the teachers’ failure to instill certain fundamental beliefs, educational concepts, and principles that were ostensibly intended to help the students pass their tests.

He claimed that this was due to a lack of drive on both sides and that parents, instructors, and students were all tasked with meeting expectations and altering the narrative of widespread failure.

He said there is a plan in the works to elevate instructors’ values through rewards and encouragement, which will enable them to produce high-quality work and favorably influence kids.

Chief Nwabunike also underlined the organization’s goal of eradicating poverty via education, emphasizing that the scholarship is fully supported by member donations and is not aided by outside partners or the government.

Founded by a group of 239 entrepreneurs from the Southeast, it is a nongovernmental organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission. Its primary goal is to eradicate poverty by providing high-quality funding and education. “Only members fund it,” he stated.

According to him, the scholarship will help students who scored higher than 250 on the JAMB exam. The best performers in each of Nigeria’s thirty-six (36) states, including Abuja, will get rewards in two categories, with N20 million divided by N500,000 apiece. Additionally, N30 million, divided by N1,000,000 each, will be awarded to the top 25 students in Nigeria’s Southeast States.

Speaking as well, Education Committee Chairman Chief Chikezie Okonkwo (Akunaetigbuilo na Nawfia) and Education Committee Member Ezeh Chinonso (Ezesinachi Ihiala) reaffirmed that the application and selection process will be free, equitable, and available to all qualified pupils.

We wish to eradicate laxity and inspire exceptional students from low-income families to use school to increase their chances of success in life. Every Nigerian JAMB candidate from the 36 states, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, is welcome,” the pair declared.

Dr. Frank Igbojindu, Akuyienwata Egwu na Okiha, and the CEO of Best Brain Contest emphasized the application procedure and encouraged students to apply via the organization’s website, expressing trust in the scholarship programs and their longevity.
