2025 UTME Mop-Up: Over 85,000 Candidates Yet to Print Exam Slips—JAMB Raises Concern!
With less than 24 hours remaining before the 2025 mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has voiced serious concern about the small number of candidates who have printed their examination notification slips, which are necessary for them to take the exam.
The mop-up examination has been planned by JAMB for Saturday, June 28, 2025.
In a statement issued on Friday, JAMB expressed regret that “as of this morning (Friday), only 12,442 out of the 98,232 scheduled candidates have printed their slips, indicating a participation rate of just 12.6%.”
As a result, it urged candidates who previously missed their examinations to reprint their slips to avoid missing this important opportunity.
“We strongly encourage all candidates, especially those who did not attend the main examination, to promptly print their notification slips.
“This is a unique chance for them to take part in this year’s examination,” the statement, released through its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, emphasized.
The statement continued: “We urge all candidates who missed their past examinations to reprint their slips to ensure they do not lose this opportunity.
“The Board is actively overseeing the printing process to assess how many candidates will attend the examination.
“In the meantime, we have allocated both personnel and resources to ensure that all registered candidates can participate in the examination.
“Please remember that failing to print the examination notification slip will lead to the loss of the chance to take the test.
“Once again, we implore all candidates to go ahead and print their slips for the examination scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, June 28, 2025.”
