The Lagos State government, via the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has finalized plans to conduct the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) in July.

The Lagos State government, through its Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has made arrangements to hold the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) in July.

Onadipe Opebere, the public affairs officer of the Lagos State Examinations Board, announced on Friday that the exam is scheduled to take place from July 2 to July 8, 2025.

The director of the board, Adebayo Orunsolu, noted in the statement that this examination represents an important transition for numerous students moving from junior secondary to senior secondary school.

Mr. Orunsolu emphasized the board’s dedication to ensuring that the examination process is fair and runs smoothly for both public and private schools in Lagos State.

He also motivated the students to tackle the examination with self-assurance, commitment, and diligence.

Mr. Orunsolu requested that parents, guardians, and school officials in both public and private institutions remain aware of the examination dates and related guidelines.

He reassured all stakeholders that adequate measures have been implemented to facilitate a seamless examination experience.
