Chaos Erupts at Lagos CBT Centre as JAMB Mock Exam Suffers 8-Hour Delay!
Candidates for the 2025 JAMB mock exam were left stuck for more than eight hours on Thursday at the CMS Grammar School CBT Centre in Bariga, Lagos, causing chaos.
Many were left waiting without clear contact from officials, causing confusion and frustration, even though they were told to report at 6:30 a.m.
The lack of organization, which resulted in some children skipping breakfast while waiting for hours, infuriated parents and candidates.
The children were instructed to report at 6:30 a.m., but as of right now, nothing has occurred. “This organization is poor,” a disgruntled parent told SaharaReporters.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) created the mock test to acquaint applicants with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment to prepare them for the main UTME.
The event swiftly spiraled out of control at the Lagos center, though, with candidates left unattended and numerous people complaining of hunger and exhaustion.
The issue is that the officials aren’t communicating. Another father complained, “It’s after 2 p.m., and we’ve been here since 5 a.m.
In order to improve the exam experience, JAMB first promised a seamless procedure and technological advancements.
Although the JAMB mock exam was only supposed to last one to two hours, participants had to wait far longer than anticipated.
Concerns have been raised regarding the readiness of certain CBT centers that have been approved by JAMB.
This episode raises more concerns about the board’s effectiveness and management in light of recent news that JAMB paid out N397,030,900 in transport allowances to more than 1,900 officials who participated in the 2025 JAMB mock exam.
