Kano University Of Science And Technology (KUST), Wudil, has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for 21 academic programs across five faculties.
The approval came in the form of a letter dated April 14, 2022, and signed by the NUC Executive Secretary, Professor Abubakar Abdulrasheed, via the commission’s Director of Accreditation, Dr Maryam Sali, stating that the full accreditation was valid for the next five years.
The accreditation is the result of an inspection and validation of the human resources and facilities available for the training of highly skilled graduates.
Agricultural Education, Education Biology, Education Chemistry, Education Physics, Education Geography, Health Education, Human Kinetics, and Library and Information Science are among the fully accredited academic programs by the commission.
Civil engineering, electrical engineering, food science and technology, urban and regional planning, biology, chemistry, geology, mathematics, microbiology, physics, statistics, and computer science are some of the others.
Following a successful resource assessment, the university received full commission approval to establish 14 new academic programs and one postgraduate program.
Forestry and Wildlife Management, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Quantity Surveying, Estate Management, and Building Technology are among the new programs.
