BREAKING: JAMB Reschedules 2025 Mock UTME to April 10 — Here’s What You Need to Know!
The 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) has been rescheduled by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) from April 5 to April 10, 2025.
Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s public communications advisor, announced in a statement.
According to the board, the modification attempts to guarantee that all required preparations are finished while implementing innovations intended to improve the exam experience.
The 2025 mock UTME date has been moved from April 5 to April 10, 2025, by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
In addition to incorporating a number of innovations and enhancements intended to make this examination one of the greatest in history, this adjustment aims to accommodate the increased number of examination centers for the 2025 exercise and guarantee that all necessary preparations are finished, the statement read.
The UTME timetable is unaltered.
JAMB reaffirmed that the main UTME is still set to start on April 25, 2025, even if the mock UTME will now take place on April 10.
The board stated that the Mock UTME, which was initially scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2025, will now take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025, while the official UTME will begin on April 25, 2025.
- Before the main exam, candidates can verify the system’s effectiveness and become acquainted with the examination procedure by taking the optional mock UTME.
- Registered candidates were encouraged by JAMB to keep checking back for information on when their mock notification slip would be printed. Details about their testing locations and other pertinent information will be included on this slip.
The board stated that candidates should wait for the notice about the printing of their mock notification slip, which will include information on the location of their testing facility.
Things you should be aware of
The UTME is administered via a local area network (LAN), not the Internet, as the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made clear. Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, the board’s registrar, clarified this by saying that using a LAN guarantees a robust and safe examination process, removing worries about internet connectivity problems impacting the test.
With 2,030,627 applicants completing the registration procedure that started on February 3, 2025, more than 2 million candidates have signed up for the 2025 UTME, which is scheduled to start on April 25, 2025.
630 candidates have signed up for a trial mock exam, while 200,115 students have expressed interest in taking the optional mock UTME.
