JAMB Registrar Oloyede Urges Students: Master Time Management for UTME Success!

Oloyede, who presided over the inaugural matriculation of the African School of Economics (The Pan-African University of Excellence) in Abuja, stated that students should value time because it is scarce, irrespective of their degrees and departments.

He emphasized that everyone must situate oneself within the concept of economics, which focuses on making the most use of the limited resources.

Oloyede also urged the students to use their opportunities wisely, stating that the university’s size would enable them to get the most out of the incredibly large class sizes.

Prof. Michael Maduagwu, the chairman of the Board of Trustees at the African School of Economics, emphasized the value of education and the importance of reading widely in Alao’s speech, “Education: The Pathway to Success in Life.”

Exam malpractice, bribery, cultism, and sexual harassment would not be tolerated at the university, he said, charging the students on ethics and character.

Maduagwu also praised the vice chancellor for his dynamic leadership and counseled the students and faculty to set the greatest standards for the university.

The university was founded to solve Africa’s pressing issues, according to Vice-Chancellor Professor Mahfouz Adedimeji’s earlier speech, “Three Principles, Six Stories.”

According to Professor Adedimeji, the university uses staff, technology, and partnerships to provide functional education that changes people and society by its fundamental principles, which he defined as integrity, discipline, excellence, accountability, and service (IDEAS).

He urged the pupils to follow three guidelines that would ensure their success: embrace curiosity, develop resilience, and stay focused.

Highlights of the event included the vice-chancellor administering the matriculation oath to the students and the university’s founder, Professor Leonard Wantchecon, welcoming the students to campus and sharing his vision for the institution.
