JAMB Launches Emergency Support Centre to Assist and Counsel UTME Candidates
To help candidates with pressing issues, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the opening of a Candidate Counseling Emergency Support Center.
The new center will supplement the examination body’s current ticketing tool, which is still the most popular and effective way to communicate with the board, according to a statement released on Friday on its official X handle.
“JAMB has opened a Candidate Counseling Emergency Support Center (CCESC) in addition to our standard and preferred ticketing platform for Candidate Support,” the announcement said.
“The following officials can be contacted by members of the public, especially candidates with legitimate concerns: a. Gbenga, b. Yusuf, c. Dubem, D. Tony, e. Ogbonna, and F. Emma at 07002200016.”
But the board emphasized that for candidates looking for help, its ticketing platform remains the most dependable choice.
Because it is quick, simple to use, and ensures a prompt response, the ticketing platform remains the main and most efficient way to communicate with the board, the statement continued.
After discovering technical difficulties, JAMB instructed more than 300,000 applicants to retake the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
It was reported that certain computer-based testing centers had faults that created score manipulations for the impacted candidates.
On Friday, the postponed UTME got underway.
Concerns have been voiced by several applicants, who point out that WAEC has not yet made any official announcements on schedule modifications, leaving them unsure of potential conflicts between the two tests.
