The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the 2026 UTME results for 632,788 candidates who sat for the examination on April 16.
As of today, candidates across Nigeria are beginning to receive their results through the official SMS method and JAMB portal, marking the first batch of score releases for this year’s examination.
The result release follows JAMB’s usual timeline, where UTME scores are made available within 24 to 48 hours after the exam.
Results Being Released in Batches
Candidates should note that the result release process is gradual. While some candidates have already received their scores, others may still be waiting. This is because the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board uploads results in batches rather than all at once. Candidates who are yet to receive their results are advised to remain calm and continue checking.

JAMB Cautions Against Result Manipulation/ Fabrication
Candidates are strongly cautioned against manipulating the SMS received from the official platform (55019/66019) to fabricate or alter scores with the intent to mislead others, including parents. Such actions constitute a serious criminal offence. The Board treats such misconduct with the utmost gravity. Currently, two candidates and one parent are in custody for engaging in result falsification using AI and other electronic means.
Any candidate found culpable will face the full consequences of the law. The examination is ongoing, and results will continue to be released as they become available.
What Candidates Should Expect Next
With the release of results now underway, candidates are expected to begin preparing for the next stages of the admission process. This includes monitoring updates on cut-off marks, post-UTME screenings, and admission requirements for their chosen institutions.
