Missed the UTME? Here’s How to Participate in the JAMB 2025 Mop-Up Exam
The 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exam will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, according to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
More than 1.9 million of the more than two million applicants who registered for this year’s UTME have already taken the test.
In addition to the April UTME, JAMB postponed the exam for more than 300,000 applicants in May after discovering that a bug had impacted their scores.
Candidates at 92 computer-based test (CBT) centers in the states of Anambra, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, and Enugu, as well as 65 CBT centers in Lagos State, were impacted by the malfunction.
The mop-up exercise will involve 96,838 candidates in total.
5,096 spillover candidates—those who encountered issues with biometric verification during the main UTME—are included.
Additionally, 91,742 applicants who missed the main and retake exams will be included in the exercise.
Notification slip printing will start on Monday, June 23, 2025.
Their testing locations and exam hours are listed on the slip.
It is anticipated that 183 locations nationwide would host the exam.
According to JAMB, the first exam day session begins at 8 a.m.
“As a result, it is recommended that candidates for the 8:00 a.m. session arrive one or one and a half hours before the actual start of the examination,” the statement stated.
