Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA) has opened its official 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) admission screening exercise. The university’s application portal is currently accepting applications and lists Thursday, 15 October 2026 as the registration deadline.

This update is for candidates who want to study at FUTIA in the 2026/2027 academic session. The university’s official screening guide sets a minimum UTME score of 160 for eligible UTME applicants, while the official admission notice also covers Direct Entry candidates. Who can apply for FUTIA Post-UTME?

According to FUTIA’s official screening guide, a UTME applicant should meet all of these conditions:

  • Score at least 160 in the 2026 UTME.
  • Choose FUTIA as the first-choice institution in JAMB. A candidate who selected another institution may change the first choice to FUTIA on JAMB CAPS before applying.
  • Have at least five relevant O’Level credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
  • Be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026.
  • Upload the O’Level result on JAMB CAPS as required by the university.

Direct Entry candidates who made FUTIA their first choice in the 2026/2027 JAMB DE application are also invited to register. Candidates changing institution should confirm that the change has been successfully processed on JAMB before starting the FUTIA application.

Important O’Level upload warning

FUTIA’s official guide states that candidates should upload their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS not later than 31 August 2026. Before paying or submitting an application, match your UTME and O’Level subjects with the programme requirements. The presence of a programme in the list does not by itself mean that a candidate will be offered admission.

  3. Enter a valid JAMB registration number, phone number and email address.
