FUMMSA 2025/2026 Admission Opens for Medicine & Science

The Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta (FUMMSA), located in Ogun State, has begun the admission process for the 2025/2026 academic year.

According to a statement from the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Fatiu A. Arogundade, applications should be submitted exclusively through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) portal.

Admission Criteria

Candidates must have participated in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and achieved a minimum score of 200 to qualify. Additionally, applicants must be at least 16 years old by the time of admission.

For those applying to professional programs, it is mandatory to have at least five credit passes in relevant subjects from the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), obtained in one sitting, as outlined in the current JAMB brochure.

Furthermore, candidates must perform a change of institution to FUMMSA via the JAMB portal for their applications to be considered.

Screening and Commencement

The university will hold a Post-UTME screening exercise, after which the admission lists will be posted on the JAMB portal. Successful candidates will receive their admission letters via the same platform.

The screening exercise is scheduled to take place from August 25 to 29, 2025, while the new academic session is set to commence on September 2, 2025, contingent upon the payment of all required fees.
