FG Advises Paramilitary CBT Candidates on Login Steps

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has informed candidates selected for the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) to log in 30 minutes prior to the start time.

This information was shared in a statement by the Board’s Secretary, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jibril, on Wednesday in Abuja.

Jibril mentioned that the online CBT phase of the recruitment process, which starts on Wednesday (today), will continue until next week and begin daily at 9:00 a.m.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the paramilitary agencies involved include the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigerian Correction Service (NCoS).

According to the secretary, only those candidates who have been officially scheduled are allowed to log in, as the portal will be available 30 minutes before each assigned exam.

“To enter the exam, candidates must log into the board’s portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng during the specific exam window they selected during registration.

“They should complete the photo verification process and stay in the virtual waiting room until the exam starts automatically at the scheduled time.”

He also urged all candidates to thoroughly review and follow the exam rules to prevent disqualification.

“The system is designed to monitor and identify all forms of malpractice, third-party interference, as well as device manipulation.

“The CBT will be AI-proctored throughout the session; thus, candidates are encouraged to ensure they have a stable internet connection, consistent power supply, and the appropriate device—preferably a laptop.

“While mobile phones and tablets can be utilized, interruptions like phone calls or switching between applications will trigger violation alerts. Repeated offenses will lead to automatic failure.

“Candidates who get disconnected after beginning can reconnect within the designated time and resume from where they left off,” the secretary added. (NAN)
