Federal University, Lokoja, FULOKOJA, has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for all of its existing programs in the Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences.
The National Universities Commission (NUC), which has the statutory mandate to accredit academic programs in all Nigerian universities, has released the long-awaited results of its Re-Accreditation Exercise, which was held in October/November 2021 at Federal University Lokoja (FUL).
The NUC presented details of technical reports and summary results of existing academic programs in a letter to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, signed by its Director of Accreditation, Dr. Maryam Sali on behalf of the Executive Secretary, Professor Abubakar Rasheed.

According to the National Universities Commission, the following five (5) academic programs retained their FULL ACCREDITATION STATUS for a period of five (5) years:

THE ARTS FACULTY

FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES, ENGLISH HISTORY

Geography, Economics, and Political Science
It will be remembered that at the end of last year (2021), the Vice-Chancellor and his Management Team were visited by various Accreditation Panels from the NUC who came to the University to re-accredit the aforementioned programs, which were already due for the exercise.

Interestingly, thanks to the dedicated and hardworking academic staff in those departments, these programs have consistently maintained their full accreditation status since the first accreditation exercise in 2015.

Meanwhile, the existing academic programs in the Faculty of Science will be visited shortly for re-accreditation.

On behalf of FUL Management, Vice-Chancellor Professor Olayemi Akinwumi expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the National Universities Commission, Members of the Accreditation Team, Staff, and Students of this great University for their various roles, support, and tireless efforts that led to this remarkable achievement.

Congratulations to everyone!
