The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to Federal University Dutse (FUD) for its MBBS and 18 other programs.
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to Federal University Dutse for Medicine and Surgery, as well as 18 other academic programs in the University’s College of Medicine and five Faculties.
The approval was contained in a letter dated April 14, 2022 and signed by the Executive Secretary, NUC, through the commission’s Director of Accreditation, stating that full accreditation is valid for the next five years.

Accreditation is the result of an inspection and validation of the human resources and facilities available for the training of highly skilled graduates in their respective disciplines.

The NUC’s fully accredited programs are as follows:

Surgery and Medicine
Anatomy \sPhysiology
Accounting, Actuarial Science, Banking, and Finance
Taxation Linguistics Business Administration (Arabic)

Biochemistry
Biology
Toxicology and Environmental Management
Mathematics
Microbiology
Economics Information Technology Software Development
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulkarim Saho Mohammed, expressed his gratitude to the university’s staff and students for this great achievement and stated that the university will continue to improve the standard and quality of its programs.

He stated that the accreditation of the medical program is a significant achievement for the university, and that it serves as a wake-up call for staff and students to double their efforts in ensuring that the university’s MBBS program is among the best in the country.

The VC thanked the Academic Planning Directorate for working tirelessly to ensure the accreditation process was a huge success.
