The University of Ilorin’s management has been drawn to a social media post by gistcore.com.ng titled “APPLY: Latest Recruitment at University of Ilorin; Qualification: HND – Bachelor’s Degree – Masters – PhD; Location: Kwara /Nigeria; Deadline: May 16, 2022.”
Members of the public are advised to disregard the above-mentioned position because the University is not currently recruiting. The Federal Government’s employment embargo remains in effect, and when it is lifted, the University will have proper platforms to place vacancy advertisements, and faceless blogs will not be a factor.
The aforementioned post is merely a ploy by the blogger to generate fraudulent traffic to their site by preying on the desperation of unsuspecting job seekers.
Kunle Akogun, Director of Corporate Affairs at the University of Ilorin, signed the agreement.
