The British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) is now accepting applications for its 2022 Farmers for the Future Grant from NYSC Corpers currently serving. The deadline for submitting applications is March 12, 2022.

Farmers for the Future (F4F) Grant is an Agricultural Entrepreneurship grant designed to provide young people with viable Agri-Businesses with equity-free capital and other associated support they may need to scale their businesses.

The project was developed and sponsored by the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) in collaboration with NYSC and is being implemented by SAEDConnect.

The grant’s objectives include the following:
Make agribusiness more appealing; reduce youth unemployment; increase youth engagement in agriculture; youth development; and train and empower youth in agro-practices.

Applicants must be young Nigerians who are currently serving in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Have a thriving Agri-Business.

The cash and business support prize is worth up to N16,000,000:

N3,000,000 is the first prize.
N2,000,000 is the second-place prize.
N1,000,000 as third prize
additionally:

Connection to financial institutions and investors for additional funding and/or credit facilities
The winners will receive technical assistance in establishing their agribusiness.
Participation in a rigorous “Think Through Your Business” boot camp
Mentorship from seasoned entrepreneurs and agricultural experts
Participation in other partner-drive training programs Membership in the F4F alumni network
Assistance with business registration as well as other legal and regulatory requirements

Stages of Application for the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) Farmers for the Future Grant

Submit Your Application: You will be able to submit your applications through the online application portal.
Virtual Bootcamp: Twenty selected businesses will go through a rigorous virtual bootcamp to refine their business thesis and develop a compelling pitch.
Pitch Event & Award: The top ten bootcamp businesses will pitch in front of a panel of expert judges and investors. Three winners will be chosen.
Mentorship: The three winners will receive funding to execute, strengthen, advance, and scale their businesses with the help of experienced mentors. They will also be linked to the networks they need to move forward.
