ASUU Empowers Future Leaders: 10 Indigent Students Receive Scholarships!
Brilliant but underprivileged students have been given scholarships by the Academic Staff Union of Universities at the Federal University of Technology (FUTO), Owerri, to help with their academic endeavors.
Ten students at the Academic Staff Union of Universities Secretariat received checks from Comrade Chinedu Ihejirika, the chairman of ASUU FUTO.
Two students were sponsored by the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ national body with ₦200,000 each, while the other eight students were given ₦100,000 each as part of the yearly scholarship program of the ASUU FUTO branch.
The goal of this annual program is to support young education and provide aid to Nigerians all around the country. Students from different faculties were taken into consideration during the selection process,” he stated.
He emphasized that ASUU supports the underprivileged in addition to promoting academic success. “Academic Staff Union of Universities has urged its branches to provide scholarships to deserving, bright students throughout Nigeria.”
Ihejirika added that ASUU spends a lot of money helping people in camps for internally displaced people, especially those impacted by natural disasters.
“ASUU is changing lives by helping students who can’t afford to go to school. Teachers assist kids in achieving by participating in this altruistic act.
