NECO 2025: 58 Inmates Take SSCE Exams in Kano, Says NCoS

The Kano State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has announced that 58 inmates from its correctional facilities are participating in the 2025 National Examination Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

This information was shared in a statement by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Musbahu Kofar-Nasarawa, on Sunday in Kano.

He noted that this achievement was made possible due to the payment of registration fees by the Kano State Government under Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration.

Kofar-Nasarawa stated, “This initiative reflects the state government’s dedication to the welfare, rehabilitation, reformation, and reintegration of inmates within the command.”

The command expressed deep appreciation to the governor for his consistent support and collaboration, emphasizing that it would enhance the morale of inmates and offer them a new opportunity for education and a brighter future.

The statement added, “The NCoS Kano State Command is devoted to creating a supportive environment for the rehabilitation and reform of inmates. We take pride in having the backing of the Kano State Government in this mission.”
