JAMB 2025 Update: Important Things to Know Before Changing Institution or Course!
You’re only permitted to change your course or institution once. It’s clearly stated at the bottom of your JAMB result slip.
JAMB’s Response to the Underage Candidate Issue: A Detailed Explanation
A concerned parent recently contacted the JOINT ADMISSIONS AND MATRICULATION BOARD about printing the JOINT ADMISSIONS AND MATRICULATION BOARD slip for their underage candidate. Here’s the parents’ query and JAMB’s response:
Parents’ Query:
“Why is @JAMBHQ this way? They allowed us to pay for the slip but sent a message saying the child is underage. My child will be 16 on December 10th, 2025. How is that underage in 2025?”
JOINT ADMISSIONS AND MATRICULATION BOARD’s Response:
“The rule states that any child who won’t be 16 by September 30th, 2025, shouldn’t apply. Candidates under 16 can only check their results, not print slips. You signed an indemnity form, agreeing to specific conditions for admission.”
The Conditions:
1. Score 80% in UTME
2. Score 80% in Post-UTME
3. Score 80% in O’level aggregate
4. Pass an intelligence test conducted by the Ministry of Education
