Changed Institution Not Showing on CAPS Yet? Don’t Worry—JAMB Confirms It Will Reflect Soon!

If you’ve changed your institution but it hasn’t been updated on CAPS yet, don’t panic. JAMB has confirmed that all changes will reflect once the 2025 CAPS platform is fully activated for viewing. Just stay calm and keep checking!

YOU CAN NOW CHANGE YOUR COURSE/INSTITUTION AT ANY UTME CBT CENTER.

The cost for the 2025 UTME Change of Course or Institution is ₦2,500, as stipulated by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Additionally, a service charge of ₦100 is applicable for processing at an accredited UTME CBT center.

But each CBT center has different prices they charge, so expect to pay from ₦3,500 to ₦5,000; some even charge as high as ₦6,500 to ₦7,000, depending on where you go.

It’s important to note that this service must be completed in person at an accredited UTME CBT center, as it requires biometric verification through thumbprinting. Online processing or visiting unaccredited cybercafés is not permitted.

If candidates want to change their courses or schools, they should be aware that the form costs 3,500 naira to complete.

Tips for the JAMB change of course and institution

Before completing the JAMB change of course and institution, take note of the following:.

Make sure you are certain about the course or school you want to switch to.
Use the JAMB brochure to confirm whether the course is offered at the school. We will be happy to assist you if you have any problems obtaining the JAMB brochure. Please use the comment box to ask any questions you may have.
Make sure you confirm that the school you intend to transfer to has a cutoff score that is not greater than your own.

You can switch both your universities and courses at the same time.
You can switch both your course and institution with a single N3,500 charge; i.e., if you want to switch your course or choice of university again, you have to pay another sum of N3,500.
