“From 151 to 307!” — 2025 UTME Resit Candidates Celebrate Miraculous Score Boosts

Some applicants who took the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was recently rescheduled, have turned to X to share their updated exam results.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, or JAMB, announced the results of the recently rescheduled 2025 UTME on Sunday, according to the DAILY POST.

On its official X account, JAMB posted the message announcing the results’ release.

Approximately 379,000 applicants took the rescheduled UTME, according to the DAILY POST.

Following widespread public outcry over mass failure during the first UTME, the development took place.

Remember how the examination board stated that more than 1.5 million of the 1.9 million applicants who took the 2025 UTME received scores lower than 200 out of 400?

Stakeholders were deeply alarmed by the disclosure.

JAMB later acknowledged human and technical faults but claimed that the development had a detrimental impact on candidates’ performance.

Students have been vindicated, according to Alex Onyia, CEO of EDUCARE, who shared a candidate’s result via the official X handle @winexviv.

Onyia revealed that an unidentified applicant who received a score of 170 on the original exam now received a score of 301 on the rescheduled 2025 UTME.

“When I woke up, this was my first JAMB retest result. Due to a mistake, this child received a grade of 170, but after only 48 hours of preparation, they are now at 301.

Onyia declared, “Our students have finally been vindicated.”

David Busola responded by posting, “Yes, ho! I’m overjoyed! In the retake exam, my daughter received a score of 302! Praise be to God! Many thanks, @winexviv.

“From 151 to 307,” Dumem #DubemSylvia added. God is amazing.

Ezubelu Valentine @EzubeluValrnti2, another contestant, posted, “First JAMB result 154.” Retake JAMB with a score of 333.

Additionally, Yusuf Ademola @Alqiblly stated, “I first received 152. I got 278 after a little preparation.

Samuel Olusanya @BigSam_Olusanya, meanwhile, stated, “My pupil who received a score of 146 now received a score of 332!

The one that was given 160 now scored 305! The one that was given 170 now scored 308! I am the happiest educator on the planet!

Engreb @Engreeeb, another X user, wrote, “Thank you for everything you did. My niece received a 285 on the retest after being mistakenly given a 161 on the first attempt. She almost had her ambitions of becoming a nurse dashed by JAMB.

“Thank you, sir, from the initial 172 to 313, I’m so happy,” commented Obiim @ Odogwuobi.
