“Our Resit Was Way Better!” — UTME Candidates Share Reactions After JAMB Make-Up Exam
Candidates in Abia State were permitted to retake the exam today in response to JAMB’s communications requesting that they retake their exams; other candidates are expected to retake the exam on Saturday.
Chioma Marvelous Nnamdi reports that the test proceeded without incident and that there were none of the typical computer glitches.
“This time, the questions were more straightforward and easier to respond to,” Chioma stated.
It was better than what we saw in the previous exam, and I’m hoping to do well this time.
“A lot of candidates felt lost during the last exam due to complaints about inconsistent and unclear answers.” I give God and JAMB credit for seeing the need to fix the irregularities in the last test, where we were provided difficult and ambiguous answers.
Chinonso Eziekel, another JAMB applicant, also talked about his experience.
He mentioned that during the previous exam, some candidates had to deal with unfinished questions and answers, malfunctioning computers, and insufficient time to finish the test.
However, it was simpler for the candidates this time. The questions were simpler than the last time, he added, and those who were given malfunctioning machines had them promptly replaced.
Similar experiences were echoed by reports from different sections of Abia, indicating that applicants found the postponed exam more pleasant.
The enhancements were also discussed by a staff member at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUAU), Umudike, who works at the E-test Center.
He said that JAMB was the source of the technical issues that had previously occurred rather than the center.
This time, he noted, the center had gone above and beyond to make sure the computers ran smoothly during the test.
