UTME Genius! Meet 16-Year-Old Oshawo Ephraim Who Scored an Outstanding 368 in JAMB 2025

Master Oshawo Ephraim, a native of the Iyora community in the Estako West Local Government Council of Edo State, has topped the list of successful applicants with one of the highest marks, despite a nationwide pattern of poor performance as recorded by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board/UTME.

With over 90 grades in math, physics, and chemistry, the young guy who has inspired many in the state and abroad had a total score of 368.

The 16-year-old received a total score of 368 in mathematics (98), physics (98), chemistry (98), and English language (74). He missed by just two (2) marks to receive a perfect score of 100/100.

Due to his performance, Master Oshawo is ranked among the nation’s best candidates.

Oshawo, who attends GoldMark Academy in Benin City, has made Edo State proud by performing admirably, to the awe of everyone.

The boy expressed hope that he would be accepted to the University of Benin (UNIBEN) to study computer science.

Less than 1% of applicants who took the 2025 UTME achieved scores above 300, while 75% of candidates received scores below 200, according to JAMB’s recent disclosure.

Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB registrar, apologized to the over 397,000 impacted students who were ordered to retake the exam after announcing a technical error a week later.
