Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has been granted full accreditation for 21 programs that were previously verified by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, Vice Chancellor of IAUE, made this disclosure when he received the Coordinator and Members of the Emohua chapter of the Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI) at the Council Chambers on Friday, April 8, 2022.

The VC who attributed the feat to the grace of God, experience gathered over the years, handwork and cooperation of staff and students noted that the full accreditation status of the programmes remains valid for the next five years.

He informed the group that, in the process of instituting a university culture on the institution, which is still in the process of transformation, he reformed the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in accordance with the NUC standards.

The IAUE Chief Executive Officer also stated that he would begin real capital projects with the vast amount of land at his disposal and build a house for each faculty member.

On the Ndele campus, Professor Onuchuku stated that he would transform the campus into a true academic program that would be the envy of all, so that Agriculture students would not have to switch to other courses of study.

He also stated that the vast land would be used for planting and the production of agricultural factories, which would generate wealth and self-sufficiency for the people’s benefit.

Earlier, the Coordinator of GDI in Emohua, Prince Ikpechi Oriji, stated that he has no doubt in Professor Okechuku Onuchuku’s ability to deliver by turning around the university’s fortunes and taking it to the desired height.

He expressed gratitude to Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for elevating one of their grassroots leaders and for his unfathomable love for the Emohua people.
