WAEC Economics Exam Format

The WAEC Economics Syllabus states that there are two papers. Both papers are combined into one composite paper and taken at one sitting.
Paper 1: Paper 1 consists of: 50 multiple-choice questions, 1 hour, 50 marks
Paper 2: Paper 2 consists of 8 essay-type questions divided into Sections A and B. Section A contains 2 data-response questions. Candidates are required to answer 4 questions in total:
1 question from Section A
3 questions from Section B
Duration: 2 hours
Total: 80 marks
