WAEC Physics Exam Format
One important detail students should not miss is the examination structure.
The Physics examination consists of three papers: Papers 1, 2 and 3, all of which must be taken. Papers 1 and 2 are a composite paper taken at one sitting.
Paper 1: 50 multiple-choice questions, to be answered in 1¼ hours, carrying 50 marks.
Paper 2: Two sections, Sections A and B, to be answered in 1½ hours, carrying 60 marks.
Section A contains seven short-structured questions. Candidates are required to answer any five questions for 15 marks.
Section B contains five essay questions. Candidates are required to answer any three questions for 45 marks.
Paper 3: A practical test for school candidates or an alternative-to-practical paper for private candidates. The paper contains three questions, out of which candidates answer any two in 2¾ hours, carrying 50 marks.
The syllabus also emphasises practical activities, meaning students should not prepare for Physics entirely through theory and calculations.
Important Things Students Often Miss
