49 UNIOSUN Students Graduate with First Class Honors

As Osun State University (UNIOSUN) prepares for its 15th convocation ceremony, 49 students will receive first-class honours among 2,505 graduates earning their bachelor’s degrees.

In a conversation with reporters on the university campus in Osogbo on Wednesday, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Clement Adebooye, mentioned that the institution would confer various degrees on its graduates, including bachelor’s degrees, postgraduate diplomas, master’s degrees, and PhDs.

He also revealed that the university plans to inaugurate several projects funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), including the new Senate Building.

According to him, the total number of graduates, encompassing both bachelor’s and postgraduate degrees, stands at 2,851.

“This figure includes 2,505 bachelor’s degree graduates, one postgraduate diploma recipient, 283 master’s degree graduates, and 62 doctoral degree holders,” he stated.

He further noted that the university would be inaugurating numerous projects across its campuses, including the iconic Senate Building, financed by TETFund’s High Impact Intervention.

“Additional projects slated for commissioning include the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology Building furnished through TETFund’s Special Intervention, a Twin (500-500) Lecture Theatre Complex funded by TETFund’s Special Intervention, a 500-capacity lecture theatre supported by TETFund’s Normal Intervention, and entrepreneurship equipment sponsored by Annual Intervention,” he concluded.
