How to carry out UNILAG registration & screening
To guarantee a smooth registration process, candidates must follow these specific steps.
Failure to follow these steps may delay or complicate registration. It is important to carefully read and follow all instructions provided below to ensure a successful registration experience.
Scheduling a Registration Meeting
Those who are admitted need to make an appointment for registration.
- Check out the Student Portal at UNILAG.
- Enter your JAMB or Application Number as your username and your lowercase surname as your password to log in.
- Log in and then change the default password.
- Next, select “Appointment” from the menu bar.
- “New Appointment” should appear.
- For your faculty, select the best appointment choice.
- Choose a time and day for the appointment.
- Save the booking slip to your computer and click “Schedule Appointment.”
Presentation of the appointment slip is required at the registration location.
Uploading the Necessary Data
Before entering to UNILAG screening location, candidates must upload the required files.
- Enter the login information from Stage 1 to access the UNILAG Student Portal.
- Print the screening form and complete the bio-data form.
- Upload the original copies of the following documents:
- JAMB Admission Letter.
- O’Level Result.
- Testimonial from the secondary school attended.
- Previous degree certificate (direct entry only).
- Birth certificate.
- Letter of reference addressed to the Registrar, University of Lagos.
- State of Origin Certificate.
UNILAG Screening Process
Candidates must attend the screening at the scheduled date and time.
- Submit two copies of each of the following documents:
- Screening form from Stage 2.
- UNILAG online application form (direct entry only).
- JAMB acknowledgment slip (direct entry only).
- JAMB admission letter.
- UTME result slip (not applicable for Direct Entry candidates).
- Post-UTME result slip.
- JUPEB, A-Level, OND, HND, or BSc result slip (direct entry only).
- O’Level result certificate (WAEC or NECO; online printouts are not accepted).
- Letter of reference on official letterhead with NBA seal (for lawyers).
- Birth certificate.
- Testimonial from secondary school attended.
- State of Origin Certificate matching the one used for JAMB registration.
- Twelve passport photographs with full names written on the back.
Candidates must present the original copies of all submitted credentials for verification.
UNILAG School Fees Payment Process
After completing the previous process, candidates must generate payment advice 24 hours later.
Payments can be made at any bank using the generated advice.
UNILAG Faculty and Departmental Registration
Candidates must visit their respective faculties and departments to complete further registration processes.
Important Information for UNILAG Aspirates
During the registration procedure, impersonation will result in entry being forfeited and may result in legal action.
All newly admitted students must undergo a drug test as part of the university’s zero tolerance policy for drug use.
Admission will be revoked for students who test positive or do not take the test.
The university will announce dates for orientation and matriculation events.
