JAMB Reveals Only 12.6% of Candidates Have Printed Mop-Up UTME Slips—Time is Running Out!
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has raised concerns over the low number of candidates who have printed their examination notification Mop-Up UTME Slip, which is necessary for them to participate in the mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) set for Saturday, June 28, 2025.
On Friday, the board reported that only 12,442 out of the 98,232 candidates scheduled have printed their slips, indicating a participation rate of only 12.6 percent.
In a statement from its Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB strongly urges all candidates, especially those who missed the main examination, to promptly print their notification slips.
Benjamin emphasized that this presents a rare chance for them to take part in this year’s examination.
“The Board has arranged for the mop-up examination to be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025. We encourage all candidates who did not sit for their earlier examinations to reprint their slips to ensure they seize this opportunity.
“The board is currently monitoring the slip printing process to determine how many candidates will attend on Saturday, June 28, 2025,” he noted.
Moreover, the board stated it has allocated both human and material resources to support this process, guaranteeing that all registered candidates have the opportunity to take the examination.
JAMB cautioned that neglecting to print the examination notification slip will lead to losing the chance to participate in the exam.
“Once again, we urge all candidates to take immediate action and print their slips for the examination scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, June 28, 2025,” Benjamin added.
