Learn each cell component and connect its structure to its function. Move from cells to tissues, organs, systems and complete organisms.<\/p>\n<p>Study the major organism groups: Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae and Animalia. For plants, follow increasing structural complexity from simple forms to flowering plants. For animals, compare major groups and identify features used in classification.<\/p>\n<p>Do not memorise classification tables without specimens. Use diagrams and photographs to recognise external features. Learn relationships such as competition, predation, parasitism, mutualism and commensalism.
