Admission Scam Alert! University Warns Candidates as Fraudsters Offer Admission with 150 JAMB Score

Unknown individuals are admitting applicants who got 150 or higher on the 2025 UTME, according to the management of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Umudike, Abia State.

According to the university’s administration, the social media ads encouraged applicants to submit an application for admission to COLMAS, the College of Management Sciences.

In a statement released on Thursday, Dr. Nkeiruka Charity Mbanasor, the university registrar, denied the publications and stated that neither JAMB nor the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike admission board had set any cutoff scores.

It advised the public and gullible applicants to visit the university’s official website instead of falling for scammers.

However, the university acknowledged that the undergraduate programs in accounting, banking and finance, economics, marketing, and business administration at MOUAU are now fully accredited by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the National Universities Commission (NUC).
